Mary Helen Rossi

It wasn’t until she married Bill Rossi in the 1980’s that Mary Helen began to understand her life’s purpose. She describes their 5-day courtship as the first of countless experiences that would teach her that she really has no choice. Decades later, she gets it.

Bill and Mary Helen were drawn to Advaita, a path of spiritual discipline and experience. Mary Helen follows this path to know who she is, describing it as frequently brutal but well worth it.

Her first book, written for early middle school children, is the story of her first encounter with brutality, a story about bullying which is common to many. Like her books to follow, it also offers a remedy for life’s challenges, a remedy that empowers a person to rise above her challenges to know who she is.

“When you find the thing you’re meant to do, you find happiness.
The trick is having the patience and trust to endure the challenges that take you there.”
