This is a pet peeve (the pun I assure is by chance)
People who let their dog run free and
forthwith I most strongly (and carefully) take my stance
You see the dogs must follow some canine communal pact
To poop on other people’s property I can indubitably, verify this as fact
While unasked I take upon myself such civic duty
To rid this blight daily from the landscape’s beauty
For I loathe the scenic detriment
Forced to observe decomposing excrement
Day upon day on my walk for healthy fresh air
These canine landmines a reminder of humans that don’t care
